Discussion is open to anyone, player or not. The purpose of this campaign is to properly learn and then test the new rules provided in the most recent playtest. Expect discussion to be heavy and game play to be slow.

Having run a simulation, I believe a cleric is a must. If you build a party without one, I will tell you I told you so.

I am willing to play a character if that means not opening recruitment.

Rhen, do you know anyone who would like to join us? I will query a guy who has been following us since Hollow's Last Hope. A big fan of ours, but the pace of pbp kept him away from playing. He recently mentioned joining us in the future.

I don't right now, i can ask though.

I am thinking a Monk maybe but I will have to look through my books again and read the class a bit more.

Character builds. Use the initial method of starting with 10 and take it from there. Backgrounds for this module are mandatory and are listed on page 3 of the module The Lost Star. Let's do our character builds here so we can check each other. You have 150 sp. You are level 1.

Are we playing the modules that come with the new rules?

I have read most of it since I am going to GM this in RL, I can separate the knowledge though.

Yes. Oh, well. When do you plan on doing the RL GM. I am interested in how that goes.

Trying to not reveal any spoilers for those who have not read the campaign yet...

On the first encounter, the monster's initiative is stealth based. I have been all through that rule book on initiative and it seems to be a GM decision. So, monster is stealth initiative . PCs initiative could be stealth or perception in my opinion. I decided to go stealth v stealth in my simulation.

Thoughts?

I am here, and am reading through the rulebook. Has anyone chosen a class yet, if not I'd love to play a cleric. I've gotten most the way through classes.

Cleric is open.

This is a note to anyone. Only the fighter class gets AoOs. He can take a feat that gives him 4 extra hp. At first level that is huge.

Every party needs a rogue.

Also, the fighter can take furious focus at level 1. The second attack has no penalty. Again, huge.

I have been looking through the monk and I feel again Wizards and Paizo have dropped the ball on what they are meant to be.

I thought about rogue, but I like the idea of playing a kind of martial cleric.

They guy that has been following us since day one is giving consideration to joining us. He has yet to read the new rule book. He is an awesome rpg dice roller and knows the current rules like a champ. We refer to him as Loethar the Wayfinder.

Hey, I have one group that might have some interest that I've been playing with for a while. Let me check. I also dotted in game play to get it on my campaigns tab.

I have most of my fighter done, going with a shield using Dwarf

I have not followed up with our lurker. Will do that in a day or so. Any interest from your group, Uthraed?

Shoot, no sorry everyone is tied up with real life stuff. How dare they lol. I was also thinking of going dwarf, so that could be fun.

Yes it would. I did not get a straight answer from Loethar. Let's build your characters and if we need to recruit at that point, so be it.
